Today we will have an early departure as we want to leave the city of Aswan before the traffic picks up. We will be heading south to Abu Simbel, home to one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Two massive temples greet you on the banks of Lake Nasser. Your Egyptologist will explain the history of the site and the Temples. You will also learn about the monumental engineering feat that took place to save these two structures. After our visit to Abu Simbel we will travel back to Aswan where we will enjoy our lunch on the ship.

After dinner, your tour leader will be able to take you on a tour of Aswan and the local markets. Get a glimpse of what everyday life is like for the locals and have the opportunity to try the local shisha, foods, and Egyptian tea.

What To Expect

Recommended Attire

Comfortable walking shoes as we will be walking some distance today. Light airy clothing as the temperatures in the south are warmer. We will be on a Luxury Motor Coach for an extended period of time so take that into consideration for your attire.
