Is Egypt Safe To Visit?

We get asked this question a lot. And we understand ones concerns. But Egypt is one of the safest countries to visit. The Ministry of Tourism has put in several check points for the tourism police. Most highly visited locations have a large police presences as well.

With our tours we have additional security that escorts us at all times. 

Crime does happen in Egypt, just like other major tourist locations, but if you stay vigilant, avoid areas that look unsafe, and stick with a group.

Tips for staying safe in Egypt

• Avoid large crowds of people and political demonstrations
• Travel in small groups and avoid walking alone, especially at night
• Secure your valuables and don’t carry excessive amounts of cash
• Be wary of scams at tourist sites
• Dress conservatively, especially at religious sites
