Valley of The Kings

KV47 Siptah

Details

South of the entrance to The Valley of The Kings lies KV47: The Tomb of Siptah.

The Tomb has three gently sloped corridors that leads to the first chamber. This chamber had four pillars. You can continue down a few more corridors that leads you to two chambers adjacent to each other. The furthest of the two has an unfinished side chamber. This chamber is believed to be a burial chamber.

The final chamber is the Tomb which has four additional pillars and the sarcophagus of Siptah.

The majority of this tomb is unfinished and only the first corridors and chamber have plaster and scenes. The scenes that are depicted are from Litany of Ra, the Book of the Dead, and more.
